A Little More About Me

As a third-generation Benningtonian, I know this region deeply — the schools, the neighborhoods, the small-business heartbeat, the local quirks that matter. My eagle-eye view of the market isn’t just “industry knowledge;” it’s lived experience.

After graduating from Mt. Anthony Union High School (Class of 1999), I earned my Bachelor's degree from Siena College in American Studies. It's an interdisciplinary major with coursework in American history, literature, sociology, politics, religion, theater, and women and minority studies. In short, I studied people and culture. My formal education ended with a Master's in Counseling and Community Psychology, focusing on mental health, substance abuse, grief and loss. Though not a prerequisite for a real estate career, being trauma-informed, empathic, and client-centered has made me an outstanding agent.

I transitioned into real estate in 2011 during challenging times (the foreclosure crisis was just starting to hit Vermont's market). My business was built on resilience, adaptability, perseverance, and putting clients first.  Then, in 2020, at the start of the COVID pandemic, I founded Hoffman Real Estate to lead a firm built on the values I believe in: integrity, service, and guiding clients toward outcomes that truly satisfy their goals.  After six years as a virtual brokerage, I purchased a brick-and-mortar office to give the company roots.  HRE agents love having a shared space to meet clients and connect with one another.

My dedication to the profession extends beyond my brokerage. I’ve served in leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels. I am the 2026 President of the Vermont Association of Realtors, as well as Dean of our inaugural Leadership Academy, where I’m preparing the next generation of real estate leaders.  In 2021, I was honored as Vermont’s Realtor of the Year, and in 2023 graduated from the National Association of Realtors Leadership Academy, a competitive, prestigious program that required national travel and intense collaboration on our “Realtor Wellness” capstone project.

When I'm not selling real estate, you’ll find me building homes with my husband, playing ball with Rex (our German Shepherd), swimming laps, reading books, watching Survivor, and supporting the many small businesses that make Vermont special.
